Wumbaya is a singer-songwriter currently based in Goa, India who specialises in acoustic reggae folkrock music. A multi-instrumentalist, he sings and plays guitar, harmonicas, tambourines, hand crash and a kick drum as part of the One Man Band. He also collaborates and associates with musicians from around the world as a band collective.

Wumbaya, a true artisan of sound, is not just a singer-songwriter; he's the maestro of a one-man band, orchestrating acoustic reggae folk-rock with the finesse of a seasoned virtuoso. Armed with a guitar, harmonicas, tambourines, hand crash, and a kick drum, Wumbaya transforms his every performance into a symphony of emotions. The roots of Wumbaya's musical odyssey delve deep into the soil of performing arts. Despite earning a degree in legal studies and briefly navigating the corporate world, Wumbaya swiftly altered his course in 2010. He embraced the call of the open road, becoming a troubadour of the world. His performances, marked by the raw energy of his acoustic reggae folk-rock, echoed through various states in India. Along the way, he connected with kindred spirits—traveling musicians whose diverse influences enriched his musical palette.

The story takes an adventurous turn in 2020 when Wumbaya embarked on a two-month cycling expedition from Delhi to Tamil Nadu, covering over two thousand kilometers. Pedaling through the heartlands of rural India, he discovered the warmth and generosity of the people, an experience that would resonate in his music forever. His incredible journey, fueled by the spirit of exploration, has become an integral part of his performances, shared intimately with captivated audiences.

Wumbaya's discography reads like a musical travelogue. His debut album, "Woody Accouche," captures the essence of his soul-stirring compositions. Collaborations with talented artists like Ambika Nayak resulted in singles like "Maisha Iko Sawa" and "Shakalaka Wagon," each a testament to the diverse influences woven into Wumbaya's sonic tapestry.
